Feel heard. Get answers. Have a plan.
Women’s health care that investigates the why - not just the symptom.
Everyone asks about the baby. We’re asking about you.
Postpartum recovery looks different for every woman.
Maybe you're exhausted beyond what you expected. Your hair is falling out. Your periods have changed. You're wondering whether you're getting enough nutrients. Or breastfeeding simply isn't going the way you imagined.
At Floura, we look at your recovery, your nutrition, your symptoms and your feeding journey - without expecting you to simply push through.
Because mum needs care, too.
The Floura Approach
So, what actually happens when you book?
Whether you're weeks or months postpartum, we start with where you are now.
Your pregnancy, birth, feeding journey, symptoms and health history all help us understand what support may be appropriate.
↓
01 — WE START WITH YOUR STORY
We'll talk through your pregnancy and birth where relevant, postpartum recovery, feeding journey, symptoms, nutrition, sleep, medications and supplements, menstrual cycle and any existing pathology.
And yes - how you're actually feeling matters too.
↓
02 — WE DECIDE WHAT’S WORTH INVESTIGATING
Postpartum fatigue isn't automatically a nutrient deficiency, and it isn't automatically “just because you have a baby”, either.
We'll look at the whole picture and review any existing results before determining whether further investigation may be useful.
Depending on your presentation, this could include iron status, thyroid function, key nutrients or other relevant pathology.
↓
03 — YOUR PERSONALISED PLAN BEGINS
Your plan is built around what is realistic for your postpartum life.
Depending on your needs, this may include nutrition and lifestyle strategies alongside practitioner-prescribed supplementation or herbal medicine where appropriate, with breastfeeding considered when making recommendations.
↓
04 — WE REVIEW + REFINE
Postpartum changes quickly - and your care can change with it.
We'll review your symptoms, feeding journey, any pathology and how you're responding, then adjust your plan where needed.
THERE’S NO STANDARD POSTPARTUM PROTOCOL AT FLOURA.
Testing we utilise in clinic
-
Pregnancy and birth can affect iron status, and iron requirements remain relevant during postpartum recovery.
Where appropriate, we may review or investigate markers such as haemoglobin, ferritin and broader iron studies alongside your symptoms and history.
-
Thyroid function can change during the postpartum period and may be considered where clinically appropriate.
Depending on your presentation and previous results, thyroid investigations may include TSH and thyroid hormones, with further markers considered where indicated.
-
Pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding can place additional nutritional demands on the body.
Depending on your presentation, we may review markers such as vitamin B12, folate and vitamin D alongside your diet, supplementation and broader health picture.
-
Sometimes the symptoms we're investigating require us to look beyond one nutrient or hormone.
Relevant general pathology may be reviewed or recommended depending on your symptoms, health history and existing results.
-
Iron studies and ferritin, vitamin B12, folate, vitamin D, full blood count and other general pathology may be considered based on your symptoms and health history.
Low supply? Let’s look at the bigger picture.
When you're worried about supply, it's easy to feel like you need to try everything.
Lactation cookies. Teas. Pumping schedules. Supplements. Advice from every corner of the internet.
But breast milk supply can be influenced by many factors - and what is appropriate for one woman may not be appropriate for another.
At Floura, we consider your individual circumstances before deciding what support may be suitable.
Because supporting milk supply starts with understanding what may be affecting yours.

Georgia L.“I wish I had done this years ago.”
I thought my PMS and painful periods were just something I had to deal with every month. I felt completely heard and never rushed or dismissed.
Maddison T.“For the first time, I actually felt like someone was looking at the whole picture.”
I’d been dealing with irregular periods and fatigue for years. I loved that my symptoms weren’t looked at separately - Gabby explained everything so clearly and I finally felt like I had a plan.
